How we make money

Law Figures carries no advertising, no partner links and no paid placements. Nobody pays us for anything that appears on the site.

What we plan to add, and how it will be labeled

Display ads. Ads will be marked "Advertisements" and kept apart from calculators and navigation.
Partner links, such as online document services, a co-parenting app, traffic schools, insurance quotes, disability claim services and settlement funding. If we earn a commission or a fee when you use a link, the box will say so before the link.
Lawyer advertising by phone. Some pages may later show a number for participating lawyers, who pay per call. That box will be marked as an advertisement, and it won't mean we recommend a particular lawyer.
Options for your state. Partner offers and calls can depend on your state, which we take from your connection or from the state you choose. Our privacy policy explains how.

What payment never changes

Advertisers and partners don't choose our topics, see pages before they're published, or change what a page or calculator says. The rules for how we write and check pages are in our editorial policy.
